What does Simpli Shaded install?
Two things: SunPro motorized retractable awnings and SunPro motorized screens. We do not sell pergolas, umbrellas, roller shades or manual awnings.
Why SunPro?
SunPro awnings and screens are made in the USA, motorized as standard with built-in LED lighting, use Sunbrella fabric, and carry a 10-year non-prorated warranty on hardware, fabric and motor. Simpli Shaded is Charlotte’s authorized SunPro dealer.
Are the awnings really motorized, or is that an upgrade?
Every SunPro awning we install is fully motorized as standard, with a wireless remote. There are no hand cranks.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes. With the Bond Bridge app your awning or screen works from your phone and with Amazon Alexa and Google Home voice control.
What sizes are available?
Awnings from 9’6″ to 40′ wide with 8′, 10′ or 12′ projections; motorized screens up to 30 feet wide. Every unit is custom-built for your opening.
What fabric choices are there?
30 in-stock Sunbrella fabrics plus over 300 custom Sunbrella patterns, in solids, stripes and subtle patterns, with several hardware and cassette finishes.

How much does a motorized retractable awning cost?
Most run $3,000 to $7,000 installed, depending on width, projection, fabric, cassette style and accessories. See the cost guide.
How much do motorized screens cost?
About $3,000 to $7,000 per screen, depending on the size of the opening, the mesh and the housing.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. 0% APR is available to qualified buyers through third-party financing from Enhancify. Checking your options takes about a minute and does not affect your credit score.
How long from order to installation?
Most awnings and screens are installed in as little as two weeks from your order, and the installation itself is usually done in a day.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. We come to your home, measure the space, bring fabric samples and leave a written quote. No obligation.
Weather, care and warranty
Do retractable awnings work in the rain?
They handle light rain. In heavy rain or wind, retract the awning; it takes seconds with the remote, and an optional wireless wind sensor can retract it automatically.
What happens in a storm?
Retract it. The optional wind sensor retracts the awning on its own when wind picks up, and the cassette housing protects the fabric when it is closed.
What does the warranty cover?
SunPro’s 10-year non-prorated warranty covers the hardware, the fabric and the motor. Non-prorated means year ten is covered the same as day one, and the warranty transfers if you sell your home.
Do you service awnings you did not install?
We service all brands of retractable awning; we install SunPro exclusively.
